Our Story
Mouth Mechanics Charities Inc. began with a simple belief: young people do not have to wait until adulthood to make a meaningful difference.
Founded by brothers Joshua and Jaylen Black during the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization grew from their desire to serve at a time when communities were facing extraordinary challenges. Raised with a strong appreciation for oral health, wellness and service, they initially focused their efforts on helping individuals and families gain greater access to oral-health education and resources.
But as their work expanded, so did their understanding of what it means to build a healthier community. They discovered that wellness extends beyond the mouth—and that opportunity, knowledge, financial awareness, communication, confidence and leadership all influence the trajectory of a life.
Today, Mouth Mechanics Charities Inc. continues to evolve while remaining grounded in the principle that started it all: service first.

Oral health remains part of our foundation, but our experiences in the community taught us that a healthy smile is connected to a much larger picture. Wellness, knowledge, financial awareness, opportunity and leadership can all influence the trajectory of a life.
Where our story began. We promote oral and whole-person wellness through education, service and access to practical resources.
We introduce young people to knowledge, financial concepts, resources and experiences that encourage informed decisions and stronger futures.
We develop character, confidence, communication and service-minded leadership that empowers young people to create meaningful impact.

Three principles guide how we serve, grow and lead—shaping not only what we do, but the kind of impact we hope to create.
Service is where leadership begins. We encourage young people to use their time, talents and resources to strengthen others and become active participants in their communities
Wealth is more than money. It includes knowledge, health, relationships, opportunity and financial understanding—the resources that help people make informed decisions and build stronger futures.
Leadership is more than a title. We emphasize character, confidence, communication, responsibility and using one's influence in service of something greater than oneself.
